MUNCIE PUBLIC MEETING

We had a wonderful first public meeting with all of Muncie’s concerned that showed up including Ball State Professionals, Concern Residents, and Ball States NewsLink Indiana, We have some local leadership and city officials as well. The Meeting is all ears as we dived into the problems of High Cost of living and Trends that make affordable housing out of reach for many of our locals.

Felony’s and Evictions play a big part in rejection from affordable housing providers as most follow strict guidelines. Speaker Joseph Romero brought up the solution is second chance housing. Second Chance Housing (SCH) is a low barrier to entry method that few are willing to provide to today’s locals seeking affordable housing.

The Shepherds heart and hands, is committed to starting what is called Dignity Homes in Muncie if we can just get the start up cost covered. Only 20 individuals committing to just $100 a month can easily help get the first 4 or 5 bedroom started, which would be fully furnished and include utilities, cable, and even netflix.

Will you help us get this started by August by committing now?
