What Happen at the Warming Center?

Over a Year of Serving Hot Food and Ministering to the Homeless comes to an end.

Massive success as hundreds came in from all over to our special events
So grateful to all who made serving the community possible!

The Warming Center at
the Main Street Garden Church.
Pastor Tony Collins of Main Street made it real clear that opening up the warming center again was ok, however, I was told that he did not want a food ministry going on. He expressed that he did not want it to be a soup kitchen. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday’s was our days to serve the community and we did with lot’s of love and hot meals at no cost to anyone.
We were happy to have our days of serving food at the warming center and ministering with our volunteers from the community and The Shepherds Heart and Hands teams.
We were happy to do all the work of providing food, services, and workers and was even ready to pay for the opportunity to use the warming center, but we did not get that far at the meeting.

The Meeting
Finally, I get a text from the leadership.
So Friday afternoon we went to visit Pastor Kate and RC, and yes Pastor Tony Collins was there.
A short meeting took place where we were told they wanted to break up our partnership and for us to stop all our activities at the warming center.
No evidence of any wrong was provided only mentioned that they have great relationships that they didn’t want to hurt.
I agree and told them we loved working with the other officials and help agencies such as the mission, city of Muncie, and others. but some reason they had their minds made up that we had to go.
So we knew we had to leave asap and they have not yet attempted to contact us since, nor have we received a phone call from anyone.

The Conclusion is that we must get out.
No more feeding the homeless at the Warming Center!
Our famous
“Church for the Homeless”

Over!
Bye Bye Warming Center!
We respect everyone’s ministry and how they wish to run it.
We wish them the best with their vision for House Churches.
We are grateful for the many souls that got saved, the thousands of meals served,
and all the lives that were touch by The Shepherd’s Heart and Hands Evangelist Outreach!
This blog post is not to blame or bash anyone but to answer the question what happened?
