Homeless Man Freezes to death?

The Question can a person live in this freezing weather should not be the question, but rather why would someone live out in this cold? Is there a choice?

George Harding ll Died at 57

Muncie Cold is no joke and the freezing weather is far from over. Recently as we were making our routine wellness checks we discovered George not at his personal camp area. A few minutes later Shawn came to me and gave me the news of what took place the night before. George was in trouble due to lack of proper shelter and trying to ride the cold weather on his terms.

A fellow camper james had heard george voice from a distance making all kinds of noise and when finally finding george it was clear that george was in shock and in critical shape. I found him freaking out says james a fellow unhoused individual. He was freaking out and naked. George was hot red as a apple in appearance and in need of help.

James ran to get help from a local store and call 911. Not having a phone on his own didn’t help. Finally the police and paramedics’s were able to come and take George to the hospital and it was very clear that it was not looking good.

George died at 57 years of age. he was loved by many.

Would you like to help save folks like George?

It is our desire to see more lives saved and in order to accomplish this we are looking towards housing as the solution. but not any old house will do. This is why we must ask who believes in “Second chances”?

The Fact that is we have hundreds of unhoused in our city may not shock you. However, if we look at how many are unhoused due to the fact that many programs will not accept a person with a felony background. Imagine being unhoused due to your past mistake that you have paid for?

Like George, many have gone to jail, did the time, and when came out found a very hard world to try and make it in.
